Courtney Barber has extensive experience developing business and raising capital for financial firms. Courtney is responsible for Independent Life’s direct and indirect sales efforts as well as developing strategic partnerships with trial attorneys throughout the United States. Courtney is the creator, producer and host of the hit trial lawyer and high performer podcast, “Settlement Nation”, and has been recognized as an innovative media personality throughout her career.
Prior to joining Independent Life, Courtney helped manage capital raises for high-growth, unlisted companies in the largest equity crowdfunding platform in Australia, The Australian Small Scale Offerings Board (ASSOB). For over 10 years, Courtney oversaw all company and shareholder communications and assisted in raising $140 million for clients through targeted sales and marketing initiatives. In 2016, she was a nominee for the Telstra Australian Young Businesswoman of the Year award.
Courtney has a strong background in sales strategy and human behaviour; studied Psychology at the University of Southern Queensland in Australia and is currently pursuing her Masters of Business Administration from Central Queensland University. She also completed the Yale School of Management Women’s Leadership Program and is a Certified Life Coach. Courtney enjoys spending time with her family in the outback, seeing the occasional kangaroo and personal development.
