Troy Christensen
Troy Christensen has 28 years of experience in various legal, risk and compliance roles in the annuity industry. He leads the Independent Life’s compliance and risk monitoring functions.
Prior to joining Independent, he was the Director of Compliance for Kuvare, where he managed all compliance activities for Guaranty Income Life Insurance Company, United Life Insurance Company and Lincoln Benefit Life Company. During his tenure he assisted in the development of innovative new annuity and life insurance products, provided guidance to agents in light of changing regulations, and led his team to providing complaint solutions for the company. Earlier in his career, Troy served in various roles with annuity carriers, life insurance companies and insurance marketing organizations.
Troy earned his Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from Drake University. He and his family live in a small town in Iowa, close to the family farm he grew up on.
