Michael Upchurch
Michael Upchurch is the Chairman and Founder of Independent Insurance Group, which was founded in early 2018 and includes Independent Life Insurance Company, the only life insurance provider to focus exclusively on structured settlements.
He is also the founder of NeuLife Neurological Rehabilitation, one of the largest residential post-acute rehabilitation facilities in the Southeast. Prior to entering the litigation resolution space, Mr. Upchurch was a Solution Manager at IBM, where he worked with teams to analyze outsourcing opportunities and identify areas to reduce cost and improve efficiencies.
Mr. Upchurch graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
