Todd Hagely

Todd Hagely has more than 30 years of experience in the life and property and casualty insurance industries. Todd leads the company’s finance and human resources functions.

Prior to joining Independent Life, Todd served as the CFO of the Direct Auto & Life Insurance Group (“Direct”) where he managed all financial aspects of the company including strategic planning, financial reporting and compliance, treasury, tax, audit and risk management.  Todd led Direct through a number of financial transactions including an initial public offering and the acquisition and subsequent sale by private-equity investors.  During his tenure, he helped drive Direct’s revenue growth from $100 million to $600 million. Todd has been involved in numerous mergers and acquisitions over the course of his career. He has also provided consulting services to private-equity firms with investments in insurance entities. Prior to working for insurance carriers, Todd worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers for nine years where he specialized in the audits of life and property and casualty insurance companies.

Todd earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from Miami University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has held a variety of roles with local organizations, including the American Heart Association and United Way. Todd enjoys golfing, hiking, kayaking and traveling with his family.
